Getting started
From a free scan to a site whose crawlers get rendered pages, in five steps.
Intercrawl does two things for a site built with JavaScript (React, Vue, Angular, Vite, or a site builder such as Bolt, Base44 or Replit):
- It serves search engine and AI crawlers a fully rendered page, so they receive the content a visitor sees in a browser.
- It shows what each crawler actually received, by comparing the crawler's view of a page with the human view.
Visitors are never touched. If Intercrawl cannot answer a crawler within 10 seconds, your own page is served as before.
1. Run a free scan
Enter your site on the home page. Intercrawl fetches up to 100 pages as a visitor, as Googlebot, as GPTBot and as ClaudeBot, and shows where the crawlers got less than the visitor. No account is needed. See The free parity scan.
2. Create an account and add your site
Create an account with your email address or Google, then add your site on the Sites page. The 14-day free trial starts when you add your first site. No card is needed.
3. Verify that the site is yours
Intercrawl serves rendered pages only for sites whose owner has proved control of them: a DNS record, a meta tag on the homepage, or a connection to your Vercel or Cloudflare account. See Verify your site.
4. Install
Choose the install that fits how your site is hosted. The install guides cover each one; the shortest are Add to Vercel and Add to Cloudflare, which need no code.
5. Check the install
On the Sites page, press Check install. Intercrawl asks your homepage for a page the way a crawler would and tells you whether it came back rendered by Intercrawl.
From then on, Intercrawl audits your site every day: it requests your pages as each crawler, and the dashboard shows which pages each crawler received in full. See Audits and alerts.
